My research is about median nerve compressions, one of the tree large forearm nerves. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a well known median nerve compression. However, the median nerve can also be compressed at a different location or a combination of locations. I study various median nerve compressions, the associated symptoms, the diagnostic process and the effect of the surgical treatment. This research project is a cooperation with the hand and wrist centrum, Maasstad Hospital.
